Animal Control Supervisor Non-profit animal welfare organization seeks Animal Control Supervisor to oversee and provide administrative as well as practical, in-the-field support for the day to day activities of its Animal Control Division/animal control personnel. Includes overseeing investigations of cases involving animal cruelty, neglect, and dogfighting and the legal prosecution of those responsible. This is an on-call position that will include the restraint, capture, and humane handling of stray, injured, diseased, and sometimes dangerous/vicious animals. Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; three years management and supervisory experience of shelter, animal control, or law enforcement operations; or a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities is required. Must be able to provide a clean drug screen, driving record, and criminal background check. Must have certification or willingness/ability to obtain such in humane euthanasia. Must help maintain a clean, healthy, inviting 10,400 SF facility that meets all regulatory requirements while caring for up to 5,000 animals per year. Must be conscientious, professional, detail-oriented, computer savvy, and possess excellent customer service skills. Successful candidate must provide a positive example for subordinate staff regarding work ethic, attitude, professional ethics, knowledge of laws & policies, interpersonal interactions, and mutual respect.
