What is Rally for Rovers?
Rally For Rovers is a guided, off-road adventure exploring private, historic plantation properties in Thomasville, Georgia. This "dirt-road therapy" tour will explore scenic, rarely-accessed landscapes with curated stops along the way - all while helping provide care, shelter, and second chances to animals in need.
This reimagined adventure builds on the spirit of the original Red Hills Rover Rally — once a beloved component of the Wildlife Arts Festival supporting the Center for the Arts — and carries it forward with a new purpose.
Where We Came From
Since 2016, the "Red Hills Rover Rally" has been a source of joy and connection in Thomasville — a unique opportunity for Land Rover enthusiasts to come together and explore the hidden beauty of our region’s historic lands while supporting the Thomasville Center for the Arts's annual Wildlife Arts Festival. Now, ten years later and with the gracious support of the Center, Thomasville Humane is honored to carry the torch forward and expand this beloved tradition in new ways.
Where We Are Going
To mark this new chapter and our animal-driven purpose, we are renaming (somewhat cheekily) the event: Rally For Rovers. While Land Rovers have traditionally been featured, this event is too significant to be limited to a single make. This year, please join us with your Land Rover, Land Cruiser, Grenadier, Jeep, Bronco, Blazer, Scout and vintage owners of all stripes to join the fun.
More Than Just a Ride
This is now more than just an off-roading event - it is a celebration of the extraordinary bond between humans and dogs. Rally for Rovers will feature working dog pet-friendly vendors, family-friendly activities, and the chance for attendees to enjoy the day with their own dogs, all while raising critical funds to support the most vulnerable animals in our community. In addition to the rally, this year’s event will include expert booths featuring vehicle restoration professionals, technicians, and more — offering an even richer experience for vintage 4WD enthusiasts.
It’s the same sense of exploration and camaraderie enthusiasts have always loved, now paired with a mission that makes every mile matter.

We are incredibly excited to announce that the 2026 Rally For Rovers will be hosted at the historic Millpond Plantation. For those who know Thomasville’s deep roots, Millpond is more than just a beautiful estate; it is a cornerstone of our local heritage. Known for its breathtaking longleaf pine forests and its legacy of conservation and sporting tradition, it provides the perfect backdrop for our adventure.
To honor the history of the rally - which began right here in Thomasville in 2016 - we aren't just retracing old tracks. We are carving a completely new route through the heart of the Red Hills. This course will showcase the rugged elegance of our landscape in a way that’s never been done before.

Every vehicle registration (sold separately) includes access for the driver and one shotgun passenger. This additional rider registration includes the trail ride, curated stops along the way, lunch under the pines, and access to the vendor village for a backseat pack-mate.

We’re opening the gates to a stunning private residence that is a Land Rover collector’s sanctuary. Rub elbows with fellow enthusiasts, Rally drivers, and experts in an atmosphere that’s as relaxed as a greenlaning Sunday.
