Thomasville Humane is excited to bring back Paw-trait Roulette, one of our favorite annual fundraisers! Submit your favorite photo of your pet, and we'll randomly pair you with one of our volunteer artists to create a one-of-a-kind portrait.
Every Paw-trait is completely unique. Some are incredibly detailed, some are wonderfully quirky, and all of them help support homeless animals at Thomasville Humane.
Paw-traits are back! Let your pet be our muse for a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork that is, well, either hilariously questionable or surprisingly frame-worthy!
For a $40 donation per pet, your pet’s likeness will be either captured skillfully by one of our master artists - or reimagined creatively by one of our well-meaning artistic amateurs (including TH staff and local volunteers). The artist (or “artist”) will be randomly assigned but all portraits will be created with love, humor, and possibly crayons.
We welcome ALL animals — dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pigs, peacocks… if you love it, we’ll draw it! Submissions and donations must be received by Monday, July 20th at 8 PM.
We will showcase the masterpieces, celebrate the artists, and share some much-needed laughs at the Art Reveal Paw-ty on August 8th. You can pick up your portrait there or we can mail it to you (charges apply).
Whether your pet gets a professional rendering or a doodle that looks like a potato with ears, your donation supports the lifesaving work of Thomasville Humane — and that’s a work of art in itself! ❤️
If you can’t join us for the Art Reveal Paw-ty on August 8th or retrieve your art from 180 Big Star Drive on August 10th - 12th, we will happily ship it to you for a flat rate of $20.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a Paw-trait cost?
Each Paw-trait is a $40 donation per pet. If you'd like portraits of multiple pets, simply purchase one Paw-trait for each pet.
What kinds of pets can I submit?
All pets are welcome! Dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, reptiles, birds, fish, goats, axolotls... if you love them, we'll do our best to turn them into a Paw-trait.
Can I submit a photo with multiple pets?
Yes! If your photo includes multiple pets, simply purchase one Paw-trait for each pet. For example, a photo with two pets would require two Paw-trait purchases.
How do I submit my pet's photo?
Instructions are included in the check-out process.
Can I choose my artist?
No. That's part of the fun! Each pet is randomly assigned to one of our volunteer artists, so every Paw-trait is a surprise.
Will my portrait look exactly like my pet?
Not necessarily—and that's what makes Paw-trait Roulette special! Every volunteer artist has a different style and experience level. Some portraits are incredibly detailed, while others are delightfully quirky. Every Paw-trait is completely unique. No matter what you receive, your donation helps animals at Thomasville Humane. 💙
When is the deadline to order?
Orders must be placed by July 20.
When will I receive my Paw-trait?
Paw-traits will be available for pickup at our Reveal Party (details coming soon) or at Thomasville Humane afterward. If you purchased shipping, we'll mail it to you.
Can my Paw-trait be shipped?
Yes! If you're unable to pick it up, simply add the Shipping option to your order before checkout.
Can I order more than one Paw-trait?
Absolutely! You can order as many as you'd like. Just purchase one Paw-trait for each pet you'd like drawn.
