Position Title: Animal Care Technician
Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Animal Care Technician. As an integral member of our organization, you will play a vital role in the care and well-being of our animals. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional care to our animals, promoting their health and happiness, and actively working towards finding them loving forever homes. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an ability to interact with community members. We are currently seeking a full-time employee, but may be open to a part-time arrangement. Employee will report directly to our Operations Director.

Position Title: Board Member
Position Summary:
Thomasville Humane is seeking passionate, committed individuals to serve on its Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will help shape the strategic direction, governance, and impact of our organization, ensuring that our mission to protect and advocate for animals is carried out with integrity, transparency, and heart.
Role Overview
Board Members are entrusted with the full powers and responsibilities outlined in the Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code and the organization’s bylaws. This includes oversight of operations, organizational contracts and borrowing, property transactions, and asset management. In addition, financial stewardship, executive leadership, and public representation are required. Directors serve as ambassadors, decision-makers, and guardians of our mission.
Eligibility
To be considered for appointment, candidates must:
Be at least 21 years of age
Not hold elected or appointed public office in Thomas County or its municipalities
Reside in Georgia (Thomas County residency not required)
Board Terms
Directors are appointed by a 2/3 vote of the Board following recommendation by the Executive Committee
Terms last three (3) years, with a maximum of two consecutive terms
Reappointment is possible after a one-year absence
