Saturday, April 29th, 2017 BARK IN THE PARK
All proceeds benefit the lost, homeless, and abandoned pets in our community. Your support is greatly appreciated and vital to our continued success. TTCHS is a non-profit organization that has no affiliation with, and receives no funding from, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Memberships, donations, and fundraising revenue allow us to make a difference in the lives of over 5,000 helpless animals per year.

Ongoing SNIP Thomasville
Take advantage of our new Spay/Neuter Incentive Program (SNIP).  Spaying and neutering prevents unwanted litters that contribute to the problem of pet overpopulation in our community.  It can also improve the overall health and life expectancy of your canine or feline friend.  SNIP is income-based, and those who qualify will be eligible for spay/neuter services through our local Veterinary Partners at substantial discounts.  It is a year-round program replacing Spay/Neuter Thomasville which only lasted for about 6 weeks per year.

On-site clinics are set up annually in Thomasville, Meigs, Ochlocknee, Coolidge, Boston, Barwick, and Pavo offering low-cost rabies vaccinations. One Saturday in April plays host to the community’s largest initiative to ensure that all pets are vaccinated against rabies. Other vaccinations are also generally available at an additional cost.
Saturday, October  Annual Hands on Thomas County Day
Individuals, families, organizations, clubs, churches, and businesses are invited to participate in this volunteer-a-thon at various sites throughout Thomas County. TTCHS will again participate, and we hope for a record turnout county-wide and at our facility. It’s the quietest afternoon in the dog kennel all year long! We send out a big thank you to HOTC for 13 years of service and all the assistance they’ve provided to our organization!
Saturday, October 29 Howl-O-Ween
Annual Halloween celebration at the City of Thomasville Dog Park sponsored by City of Thomasville Community Relations. Costume contests, police K9 demonstration, obedience demonstration, information about basic veterinary care, and free doggy nail trims are just some of the exciting activities. We’ll be there with some pets looking for their forever homes and to offer $20 microchipping to the public. Come see us, and take home a new best friend!
